d2_s  : (31 August 2010 - 08:00 PM) There certainly is a big shift toward 1200 M$ points on XBLA. Seems 800 point titles are a rarity now.
Goldenheart  : (31 August 2010 - 11:15 PM) MS seems to be pushing for extra profit lately. XBLA game price hike, Gold price hike, & now their new special d-pad controller that only sells w/the P'NCharge kit.
Todd  : (01 September 2010 - 02:20 AM) watching "the Losers" not even Stringer Bell can save this flick
TonyDP  : (01 September 2010 - 06:50 AM) Alien Breed XBLA is 400 points this week; demo was pretty good and I'm debating whether to get the full game. Given how everything else is selling for 1200 points it may be worth a grab.
TonyDP  : (01 September 2010 - 06:52 AM) I tried the Vanquish demo; pretty nice graphics but the dialog and cinemas are beyond cheese and the art style is a little too anime-inspired for my tastes. The scarcity of ammo also makes that boss battles artificially harder than they have to be. I'll be curious to read some reviews on the full game but I think I'll wait for a price drop before thinking about buying in.
d2_s  : (01 September 2010 - 06:43 PM) I wanted to try the Vanquish demo, but it's not available in my region yet...
d2_s  : (01 September 2010 - 06:43 PM) Also hate shooters that arteficially inflate difficulty by having limited ammo. That is not fun...
Mister Y  : (01 September 2010 - 07:16 PM) I didn't have a problem with the ammo. Anyway, I hope Platinum never stops making these crazy ass games.
SpaceInsomniac  : (02 September 2010 - 01:19 AM) Neither did I, Y
HumpYourWayT...  : (02 September 2010 - 08:39 AM) damn where is everybody? Need to post another heretic post :whistling:
LeadBetter  : (02 September 2010 - 08:52 AM) Don't let the lack of an audience stop you....it never has before. :)
d2_s  : (02 September 2010 - 10:44 AM) LOL
SpaceInsomniac  : (02 September 2010 - 02:32 PM) Zing!

Epic is releasing a game for iOS devices called 'Project Sword'. They presented a short game demo during the Apple Keynote today.
The graphics are pretty mindblowing.
Tested the techdemo they released today on my iPad and on iPhone 4 (looks so crisp on retina display).

Thought d2_s might be interested so he can use his shiny new iPhone 4 (which he only recently learned to love)

Left 4 Dead 2

Valve sure knows how to keep its audience guessing. Company co-founder and managing director Gabe Newell recently sat down with the UK's PC Gamer magazine and discussed what's on the horizon for the Half-Life developer.

"I can guarantee you people are going to be surprised at stuff we do. That isn't going to stop any time soon," Newell told PC Gamer (via CVG). "I'm just laughing because... people will be shocked again."

He continued, "We have three pretty big surprises in the next 12 months at least."

HP Wireless TV Connect streams 1080p video, hits Intel WiDi where it hurts

We have to say it's a bit odd for HP to be announcing its own wireless streaming peripheral -- it seems like something more up IOGEAR or Belkin's alley -- but the $199 Wireless TV Connect is exactly what we've been waiting for in some respects. Sure, the box that you have to connect to your laptop via HDMI and USB for power is a bit on the large side, but it's capable of streaming 1080p content, including Blu-ray movies or protected content, to your TV and there's absolutely no lag when controlling the desktop on the big screen. We're not exactly sure what technology HP's using here -- we're thinking WHDI, though the company wouldn't confirm -- but the two box set can be used with any laptop on the market that has an HDMI port. Take that Intel WiDi! This is one we're absolutely planning to test out, but in the meantime check out the pics below.
