Shimshuta  : (06 September 2010 - 10:48 PM) It was. Wish it was not over.
Shimshuta  : (07 September 2010 - 02:02 AM) Watching Resident Evil 3. I am looking forward to the new one, looks like a riot.
Todd  : (07 September 2010 - 02:48 AM) new ME2 DLC and new Spiderman today
SpaceInsomniac  : (07 September 2010 - 02:57 AM) Amazon: 12 months of live + Project Gotham Racing 4 + Chatpad + new headset = $55.54 Not a bad deal for those wanting to beat the price increase.
Shimshuta  : (07 September 2010 - 02:59 AM) New Dragon Age DLC as well.
Shimshuta  : (07 September 2010 - 03:01 AM) I am going to finish all the current games I am playing, then launch myself into a ME2 replay on super hard with all the DLC.
Todd  : (07 September 2010 - 03:04 AM) 6 days 'till Reach!
Shimshuta  : (07 September 2010 - 03:05 AM) indeed! Though Peer pressure, I got Halo 3 and ODST. Just finished playing them both with a buddy. Was a blast.
Todd  : (07 September 2010 - 03:08 AM) also Mafia 2 DLC today, slipped by me
Ray  : (07 September 2010 - 04:29 AM) I thought Reach came out at the end of the month
d2_s  : (07 September 2010 - 05:19 AM) How dumb can I get, I bought EA Skate 3 on the weekend forgetting that I already own it :hang3:
Ray  : (07 September 2010 - 07:16 AM) its bad enough you got it once
TonyDP  : (07 September 2010 - 11:26 AM) No, what's really bad is that he owns two copies but probably won't play either one
TonyDP  : (07 September 2010 - 11:27 AM) At AKA Superman's suggestion I got Alien Breed: Episode 1 for 400 points last week. Finished the game last night and had a good time with it. While it wasn't particularly original in any way it had a vibe that really hooked me in. The story, art style and graphical panels reminded me a lot of sci-fi stories I used to read as as kid in Omni and similar magazines.
SpaceInsomniac  : (07 September 2010 - 11:37 AM) 6 days 'till Reach AND 4 days until Reach reviews. Review embargo ends Saturday.
Todd  : (07 September 2010 - 01:48 PM) I am really disappointed in Meta, the redesign shows less info, and their scores seem much later now,
Shimshuta  : (07 September 2010 - 03:09 PM) yeah, i do not like the new Meta. I also do not like the new imdb design, it takes more clicks to get to the movie credits for someone. the "Personal Homepage" for each site is annoying.
d2_s  : (07 September 2010 - 10:58 PM) I take it you don't like skate games Ray?
fabio sir  : (08 September 2010 - 12:36 AM) Skate games, like any other sports game in general, are like Shakespeare in their brilliance and ingenuity along with their lack of creativity and evolution.
d2_s  : (08 September 2010 - 09:25 PM) Big few months coming up starting with Halo REACH and PS Move within the next 7 days!

You know, I've been thinking of switching to FF, from IE. Any opinions? I mainly read sites like this fine one, basic email, check my credit card balances, and watch youtube.

I've been using Firefox for about 6 months now. Couldn't be happier. I never really had a problem with IE, I mean the only reason to ever worry about having important info stolen is if you ordered stuff online with credit cards and personal info and such all the time. So if you do a lot of that, then by all means switch to Firefox. If you simply look at the web every now and then though, it likely won't matter which browser you use. However, anything can happen. So why not just use the safest browser? Switch to Firefox. And if you want to be extremely safe, use Opera. Nobody hacks that browser. lol! Of course it's incompatible with several sites I've tried to visit.

Thanks for the info guys. I spose I place only a couple of orders online a year and renew my anti-virus (how ironic), but it's the compatiblity question I guess I was after.
Like, are there any sites' or videos' (not porn) formats that just don't work in browsers other than IE?

There are a very few websites that don't like to cooperate with Firefox. The only two I've ever encountered were certain sections on www.target.com and a Super Mario Bros website. Other than that, every site I've ever gone to has worked.

Should be a warning on that picture, perhaps. My work's not the kind where I would get in trouble, but yeah.

Anyway, I use FF here at work for my leisurely web viewing, like right now, but for work stuff I use IE. IE was using 100% processor a lot of the time on this site for some reason, so I got something fast and easy.

At home I use Opera, but it needs a lot more configuration to get it to work just how I like. Not willing to do all that at work. Both FF and Opera are great browsers, but I give the edge to Opera, as it feels more refined. FF is a little more minimalistic, which I like, usually, but it also feels incomplete and sloppy at times. Anyway, you can't really go wrong with either one, when coming from IE. Both are much easier to use out of the box than IE, as well.

School uses Firefox and honestly I don't dig it as much... I'm just used to IE and honestly don't see what's wrong with it.
